The people of the millennium city want government to solve their problems of water logging, sanitation, power outages etc. but as the successive governments are not paying heed to the problem the residents have decided to fight for it.
In some of the societies the residents have taken the responsibility in their hands and pooled in money to set up power generators and supply cables to each apartment in a society.
The rate of the Gurgaon residential property bears the impact of such conditions. Even the premium Gurgaon areas are being deprived of the basic civic services.
The residential Gurgaon projects are priced depending on the development of roads, sewerage, power supply and other facilities in the area. The builders are launching projects in the areas which are completely underdeveloped with no civic amenity but it is expected that all such prospects are a lucrative investment option to invest money. It is because the property is cheaper here and in few years time it will have great appreciation with proper development in the area if the government of Haryana keeps the promise.
The residents associations have even decided to stage protests if the demands are not fulfilled in few months time. Hundred of resident protestors have agreed to join the campaign.
The monsoon season has further added to the woes of the Gurgaon residents. The water logged roads are damaging the luxury vehicles and causing routine traffic jams. The potholes of the waterlogged roads are invisible and posing accident risk for the drivers.
The government is trying to pacify the agitated residents but the problem is wide-spread in almost all the sectors of Gurgaon and so it is not possible to mend roads immediately.
The municipal corporation Gurgaon (MCG) is trying to take some action to relieve the protesters. It has repaired at least 12 roads within this weekend. But the MCG apathy has lead to such protest against the government therefore MCG should do a smart job to win the hearts of the people.
